Cuero y Salado Wildlife Refuge: It is a protected area with a total territorial extension of 13,027. 004 Ha, it has a land extension of 8,429.39 Ha, and a marine area of 4,597.61 Ha. Its limits are: to the North with the sea delimitation of the Cuero y Salado Wildlife Refuge, to the South with the communities of La Unión – San Francisco, La Másica and Pico Bonito National Park, to the East with the Caribbean Sea and the community of Porvenir, to the West with the municipality of Esparta and the Caribbean Sea.
